The Lady Horrible<\/a> recently mogged<\/a> about an aging musician who was resting heavily on laurels unfortunately propped up by a legion of credulous enabling boomers. I couldn’t help but think of this when I was visiting the website of one of the most sampled electronic artists of all time, Jean-Jacques Perrey<\/a> (wikipedia link which also talks about collaborator Gershon Kingsley here<\/a>). See below for proof of Perrey’s mastery. He also seems to be a sweet old man who doesn’t mind inexplicably carrying around stuffed animals on stage. I have a new role model.<\/p>\n
